I went with my boyfriend & my best friend; neither of them really knew or cared about Beck beforehand, but now they've been converted. I always thought Beck would be amazing live, just by the sheer imagination that is involved in the range of music he's managed to produce over the years... Now I know it. I agree with your statements about Brendan guy too, their technical side as musicians was perfect... but where was the showmanship or the spirit? They were like cardboard cut-outs in some ways... Except the drummer kept staring creepily at us. o_o A damn fantastic show, & I wouldn't be exaggerating if I said the best gig I'd ever been to...
