All this accurate account seems to expect and deserve is that those who howl derisively against ''old'' people being too past it for ''teenage kicks etc'' and then categorise the type of music to (white rock musicians selfrighteously taking on black culture as their own), is to grasp that fact that violence, selfishness and destruction are the tools that may well upset their smug and privileged position on a pedestal one day! Looking back at those days and the true and accurate account of the goings on written here, I hereby defend the right of people who are NOT too old to attend such events. A far more civilised option was the Electric Campfire (http://www.electric-campfire.de/) in Germany. 6 Euros for 3 days, a nice B&B and a huge bust of Karl Marx (the largest freestanding head sculpture in the world, I'm told). Those kind of festivals should best be avoided and left to the scumbag yoof (and, come on, rock music is surely dead by now…isn’t it?).
